Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine approved for use in Canada

Canadian authorities have authorized Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine for use in people 18 and older. The country has ordered 40 million doses; up to 168,000 of those are expected to arrive by the end of December 2020 Distribution of the vaccine could begin within 48 hours. Pfizer and BioNTech have also reached a deal with the U.S. government to provide an additional 100 million doses of their vaccine by the end of July 2021, doubling their original pledge. AstraZeneca and Oxford have filed for approval in the U.K. for their COVID-19 vaccine. British health regulators are expected to authorize it shortly after Christmas.
